Introduction:

We are pleased to introduce our first hands on basic suturing skill course which is suitable for all medical under and post-grads. This course will introduce candidates to the skills and knowledge required to assess, manage and close a variety of wounds in a variety of different techniques, which include simple suture and layer wound closure in, to running, intracutaneous and other sutures.

Objectives:

  • To learn the basics of wound healing and closure
  • To guide you for choosing the correct suture and needle
  • To learn the correct knot tying methods
  • To practice wound closure with a variety of suturing techniques
  • To get practical tips on improving your technique
